The
National Council for a Common Sense Approach to Animal Preservation
To: Freaknoid
From: Arthur
Stickybottom- President NCCSAAP
The NCCSAAP
is an organization calling for a common sense approach to the conflict
of endangered species and the need to develop our country's natural
resources. We feel it is a shame when we can't harvest the trees
in the forest of our great Northwest because an owl stands in the
way. On the other hand, it would be ashamed to see an animal sent
into extinction because of our greed - our lust for more.
Is there
another way? We think so. However, we need sound thinking people
like you to join our cause. People who are willing to take a stand
for what is right, People who can endure criticism, scolding, finger
nails across the black board. People, who can turn the other cheek,
endure name-calling even if it is justified or are just used to
being called "stupid".
We are looking
for a few good people, like you, to stand up and be counted. We
believe history will look back and say of us "here were a few
who made a difference when it counted and we owe them a debt that
can not be paid with cold hard currency, but begs to be paid in
an homage of admiration".
We believe
that animals, like the spotted owl, would not be endangered if people
realized how good they tasted. Think about it. Cows taste good and
they are not endangered. Pigs taste good and there are plenty of
them around. The chicken gives us eggs and Kentucky Fried so we
won't be putting them on any endangered list.
If we could
convince people to appreciate the taste of some of these endangered
animals, they would not be falling into these dire predicaments.
Instead of business men making money cutting down trees, they might
be planting more trees so the spotted owl would become more plentiful
and they could have more to send to market to fill the big demand
for spotted owl soup. Just think of it!
Are we asking
for money? NO. Are we asking for you to stand on a street corner
holding up some idiotic sign and looking like a fool - again no
- you can look like a fool all by yourself.
We are asking
you to be a part of a grass roots effort to bring a new concept
into being.
Next time
you go out to eat - and from now on when you order food - ask for
"Spotted Owl Soup". Restaurateurs will begin to see the
ground swell of demand and ask their wholesalers for Spotted Owl
soup. This will result in the demand for spotted owls and eventually
save them as a species. And you will have been a part of it all.
Sincerely,
Arthur Stickybottom
- President NCCSAAP
