Bee Keeping

We ("we" meaning me) have recently had to start "bee keeping". This is because we are extremely ugly. Ugly. The face only a mommy could love… had she stuck around.

As you know bee keepers wear a hat with a net that covers their face. We are now wearing that hat and the net thing a lot to conceal our ugliness. When asked why we have to say that we are "bee keepers".

We were at the 7-11 buying gas and the lady inquired about the hat and the net over the face. We said, "We are bee keepers".

She was confused about the "we" part and also confused because we had on a short sleeve shirt. So we have found that once you get started down this road you have to wear sleeves that gather at the wrist and some funky gloves that make it hard to pump gas at the 7-11, or to grab small change from your pocket, or unzip you pants to go tinkle.

We have ordered the small, white boxes that bees live in and we intend to set them outside the house. We think it will also deter unwanted visitors.

We won't get any actual bees.
